John D. Weaver grew up on Main Street in Mechanicsburg PA, in a home that witnessed the June 1863 Confederate capture of the town (northernmost during the Civil War).  With Gettysburg being nearby, he has a lifelong fascination with the town and battlefield.  While purely historical at first, he would in later years realize some very odd things happen on such ‘hallowed ground’ and with his wife Kelly (a psychic-medium who grew up in an historic haunted house) began to explore the paranormal in earnest in the early 1990s.  In the summer of 1967 during a major ‘Flap’ in the Harrisburg area, he had a well-documented UFO sighting, igniting a passion in UFOlogy which continues to this day as a Sr. Field Investigator for MUFON. 

John has a fine arts degree and his specialties include illustration and photography.  Non-paranormal interests include aviation, military and maritime history.   He has been a hockey goaltender for nearly 50 years and enjoys sports cars and road racing.  He is the co-founder (with his wife) of the Spirit Society of PA www.spiritsocietyofpa.com and State Section Director for the Mutual UFO Network www.mufon.com .
